2. General Information on Data Processing

This Privacy Policy informs you about the nature, scope, and purpose of the processing of personal data (hereinafter "Data") within the mobile app "Sunbeam" (hereinafter "App") and its associated functions.

3. Data Processing during App Operation

We process your personal data to provide the App, to fulfill our contractual obligations to you, and to safeguard our legitimate interests in the stability and security of the App.

Note on Payment Data:

We do not process payment data ourselves. The processing of one-time in-app purchases is handled exclusively by the respective App Store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). The respective data protection policies of the Store operators apply.

4. Recipients and Data Transfers

To provide and operate the App, we use service providers who may act as processors.

Firebase (Google Ireland Limited): We use Firebase services (especially Firebase Authentication and Database) for registration, storage of user data, and provision of database functions.

Processing may occur outside the EU depending on the user's location (e.g., in the USA). However, appropriate safeguards pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR are ensured, for instance, through standard contractual clauses. Google commits to compliance with the GDPR.

5. Data Retention

Your data is stored only as long as necessary for the fulfillment of the purposes for which it was collected:

Account-related Data: Stored for the duration of your user account's existence.
Deletion: Upon your request for account deletion, your personal data will be deleted immediately, unless legal retention obligations (e.g., for tax purposes) prevent this.
Log Data: May be stored briefly (e.g., up to 30 days) to ensure security and for troubleshooting.
6. Your Rights as a Data Subject

You have the right to request information about your data stored by us at any time (Art. 15 GDPR). Furthermore, you have the right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).

If the processing of your data is based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you also have the right to object to the processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).

The App is intended for users aged 16 and older, or the minimum age required by applicable national law.

We reserve the right to adapt this Privacy Policy if the legal situation changes or if a change in the service requires it. We will inform users of material changes within the App. The current version is always available in the App.
